We chose the Good Shepherd because recovery can include seasons when a person does not feel strong enough to lead themselves through every difficult hour. In Christian tradition, the shepherd is not a symbol of pressure or perfection. It is an image of being known, guided, searched for, and cared for.

Our hope is that this coin can sit quietly beside a person's faith in recovery—not as a promise that the road will be easy, but as a reminder that they do not have to walk it without meaning, prayer, community, or grace. Sometimes strength is allowing yourself to be guided until you can see the path again.
